Just a Few Updates... But No New Pictures!

This is just so I remember what is happening in our life... my brain is still in the post-partum mushy state!

1. Chloe has started rolling all over the floor! Yesterday she got stuck on the wall, piano bench, and couch. It really is quite adorable to watch, but I'm just not sure I'm ready for this whole mobile thing!

2. Chloe also has her first tooth. She is such a sweetheartl! I never would have known had I not looked in there. She had no symptoms except for constantly chewing/sucking on her hand!

3. Calvin's head looks great! It's amazing how quickly improvements have been made. There is still a ways to go, but it's very satisfying seeing results! He actually doesn't mind the helmet, just the taking it off/putting it on!

4. Calvin is getting hair! Soooo cute! But, unfortunately the helmet covers it up!

5. We do have 4 other children! They are doing great as well!

6. Gracie and Emma are busy with basketball. They both love it. It is so fun to watch them play!

7. Jackson is so close to doing a backflip on his own at gymnastics!

8. And little Ruby, what can I say! She is a sunbeam, a preschooler, and our most "Type A" child! She is something else!

My Sweet Escape....

Emma, Jack, and Gracie all returned to school today! Ruby has gone to lunch with her preschool friends and Calvin and Chloe are down for naps!! This quiet time definitely is my "Sweet Escape"... so why am I at the computer?!

It is nice typing with both hands, seeing as how I am normally typing with one while holding a baby! Maybe I can catch up on a few things....

During the past 2 weeks Calvin and Chloe turned 5 months old. They are getting so big! They sleep through the night now, have 3 pretty consistent naps, are trying to roll over but have not quite made it (thankfully.... I don't know what we'll do when they can move?!), they laugh, smile, and hold each others' hands, and they are so dang CHUBBY!!! I love it!

One reason why we don't have many Christmas pictures posted on here is that we are in desperate need of a new camera. Most of our Christmas pictures turned out fuzzy. But, instead of getting a new camera, we are getting Calvin a helmet! And it is not because Sean desperately wants a son who plays football! Actually, when Calvin was first born he would always turn his head to the right side. Because of that the right side of his head has become flat! Poor little guy! He will be fine and he should only have to wear it for 2-3 months. I will write more about it later when we have more information. But it had better work... those things are expensive!!!:)

What else has happened during these last couple of weeks??

Oh yeah, Gracie turned 7! Now that is amazing! She has become such a cute and funny little girl! She loves all things girly, but she is also our toughest, most competitive child!! She loves clothes, Hannah Montana, soccer, Webkinz (she has 4... their names are Fuzzy, Snowball, Cuddly, and Zoe), McDonald's, Junie B. Jones books, Taylor Swift, playing with friends, swimming, all animals, singing, playing the piano, High School Musical, and cooking!!

On Christmas Eve, not only did we have sick children, but my parents were sick as well. We normally have Christmas Eve dinner over there. Since we could not do that, we had a nice dinner at home. We got out the Christmas china, candles, goblets... the whole bit. I normally don't do that with 6 kids and all!! Gracie came to sit down at the table and said, "Mom, I feel weird. It feels like we're rich!" We thought that was pretty funny! If that is all it takes to fool her by just using the "nice" dishes instead of the BSU Bronco plates from the dollar store, I think her future husband will have it pretty easy!

Anyway, I think I will go and enjoy my "Sweet Escape" right now by either doing laundry, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning the kitchen, or maybe just watching "Mama Mia" while Sean is not here to ruin it for me!!!
