This past week Sean's paternal grandmother, Grandma Ruby (or Grams as she was mostly known) passed away. She was quite an amazing lady. Her funeral was Monday, September 29th. It was such a tribute to her life. She and her husband Leo had 6 children, 35 grandchildren, 93 great-grandchildren (with 5 more on the way), and 1 great-great-grandchild. As recently as 3 weeks ago she was able to name all of them!! Above is a picture of Grandma Ruby with our little Ruby.

On the funeral program cover there were pictures of her as a child. My sister-in-law, Shamarie, pointed out how much our little Gracie looks like Grams. Wow!! I had never noticed that before. Not only does Gracie get her looks from Grams, I also believe that she gets some of her toughness from her as well! Grams was a very good, tough softball player. Although Gracie does not play softball (yet!!), she is a very good and tough soccer player. In fact, last Saturday we had to tell Gracie to stop talking trash to the other team!!

Grams will be greatly missed, but we know that she is in a better place with her husband, parents, grandchild, and all her other family that has passed on before her. When I asked the kiddos what they thought Grams and Gramps were doing up in Heaven, they said, "The Boogie"! I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case!!
We miss you Grams and Gramps!
